Oral

Oral cancer is any cancer that starts in the mouth, also called the oral cavity. Oropharyngeal cancer develops in an area of the throat just behind the mouth, called the oropharynx.

The good news is that these cancers are declining significantly. In the past two years, the numbers have dropped 5 percent a year. The death rate for these cancers has been declining since the late1970s.
